I loved Riyo Mori's gown when she was crowned
Miss Universe 2007. It very much suited her, being Japanese and all. I like the style and the colors and the way she carried it while working the runway.

This year, she surprised many by going out on stage in no less than a tuxedo. For the first time in the history of the
Miss Universe pageant as I believe, the reigning title holder took her final walk not in a gown, but in a suit. It was such a rare moment to behold, but one that portrays a powerful message about women. Even without her crown, she stood out. Make a statement she did, and a strong one at that. She proved worthy of her crown if merely for her capacity to shine without the jewels on her head.

I thought she was just beautiful.
Just my opinion ;)
She did stand out... and I almost barely recognized her. She looked absolutely amazing.
She is indeed beautiful. I had hoped the glorious days would come back for the Philippines like when Gloria Diaz ( less than 30 yrs, ago) graced it all over the other candidates.
Cheers!
she was superbly beautiful... but i just think her gown was crappy in a way... i don't know... but the tux rocks!
mikimoto was not the official sponsor this year so there were limits to the exposure of riyo wearing the mikimoto crown. What do you think of a woman who will do her final walk without the tiara? It would look like she's just one of the girls. So to stand out, the team behind Riyo (Ynes group) opted to let her wear a tux! so Genius!!!
