Foreigner Sings Buloy

I was tuning in to "Good Times with Mo" this morning, and he was telling folks how he usually scans the YouTube for his favorite songs and watch various people sing it with their own renditions, anywhere and everywhere.

One particular video he pointed out this morning was of a foreigner, not sure if he's American, who is singing "Buloy" by Parokya ni Edgar. He let the listeners hear it a bit, and it was quite amusing. So I logged on and searched for the video in YouTube. True enough, the foreigner was singing like a pro, and with the exception of the sporadic slang and twang, you'd think he was a Filipino. But of course, his looks betray his race. Nonetheless, it was really entertaining. Makes you wonder how the heck did he know about the song, much more sing it expertly.

Here's a clip of the video...

I had the same experience when I went to watch a Bamboo/Paroky Ni Edgar concert and there was a group of 5 white guys, as white as they can be singing along to "Noypi" and also "Buloy". While singing, "Noypi", one of them was perched on another's shoulder urging the crowd to sing more. It was an experience.

hahaha.. it's really funny watching foreigners speak tagalog, you really have to give it to them because their tongues are not as flexible as ours. thanks again for visiting my blog! :)
